“Mga wala kayong kwenta, bakit ganyan ang mga ugali niyo”. Words I can never forget for a time of my life. It was 9 or 10 in the morning when I and my classmates are busy doing our stuffs. Of course, we can’t help ourselves talking to each other very loud. Since our teacher for that time didn’t arrived. We have much time to take a rest and do our tasks and projects. But suddenly a girl came in to our room; let’s just name her as “CAT”. Sounds good, right?. She entered the room as if nothing is in there. She shouted upon us. And then, boom……….everyone was shocked and stopped from talking. Even me, I was asking myself inside…What’s happening? Who is she? Do you guys know her?
She keep shouting and shouting as if we are the only students in that building. And I know in myself, that her voice is heard by everyone passing the hallway. Then she said again those words.
Because we we’re embarrassed, one of my classmate stood up and defended our class. He explained what happened and why we we’re making noise. One of my friends also talked to her and explained the entire scenario. Then the whole class talked to her and defended our class. Everyone wanted to talk.
It was a misunderstanding I guess. Being part of our class is not easy. They say, it’s ok, we can do everything. But the thing is; we are also students. We are still young, so it is normal for us to make noise since it’s our free time. A time to take a rest. Our class starts at 6am and finished at 3pm. Even a single minute is very important for us. Then there are many paper works and assignments to do every day. Isn’t tiring?
What we just want is a little understanding, care and appreciation. That’s all we need. It is not easy to be one of us. I wish I was that normal student who went to school at 6am and go home at 12 noon. But the nevertheless, I’m happy for where I’ve been grouped. Not because we we’re the most talked about students of that year (2004) but we have so many privileges in the school that we valued so much.
