another exciting task

after movie reviews,blog, video resume, e-comics, flow charts and spreading of softwares all over the classsss...hahahaha... here comes another exciting task. we are assigned to make a case study. but its not the usual case study that we do. instead of spending time and making the case on a particular place we are given a chance to do it in such a way we never have to be in one place, all we have to do is sit in the comfort of our houses and do our part...in making this case study we only have to remember three things......EDIT, SAVE and LINK. with the use of our computers we can make the task easier and easier!!! with the help of wikiwiki page we can make it possible. as if we were in one place and making the case...


i really love this subject. "MAKING OUR LIVES EASIER".  And now that the end is near and so i face the final curtain (hahahaha), what i enjoyed the most is the FREE SOFTWARE DAYYSSSS... electronic/online NCPs are really great...for sure in the next duty rotation, we can make the NCPs sssssooooo easy...BRING IT ON! but the problem is.......baka naman pag pasahan na pareparehas kami ng gawa...same diagnosis, same interventions and for sure SAME GRADESSS.

exam week

hanep na exam, OR at MS walang patawad!bang hirap..pati NI nagka hemorrhage ako.essay at enumeration...SAN KA PA? sana lang talaga pumasa ako sa lahat ng exams ko this midterm and pati sa finals. hay naku.....

MY CHILDHOOD MEMORIES

                I’m complete different from who I am now. Comparing from what I am when I was still a kid, teenager I can say, I CHANGED. I changed the way I think, I speak and I study! During my elementary days, I cannot consider myself as a “matalino or masipag”, I can’t see it on myself. I even don’t do my homework. What I just want is to play the whole day. If I only have control to my life that moment, I will not go to school anymore. I can still remember, my dad is reviewing me every weekends and free time. And after the elementary graduation here’s come another school year. Another four years of studying which I don’t do before. As I grow old I realized the value of education. I started to focus more on my schooling. I do now my tasks and set aside playing. I graduated my secondary level with flying colors. 

QUIZ BEE COMPETITION

Last Tuesday, I and my high school friend Alysa was talking about the nursing quiz bee. We we’re teasing each other and planned to join the competition. I’m not the type of person who will join in a contest like this because I know I don’t have to courage and strength for it. But when my classmates and Miss Mahinay selected me as the representative of class I really can’t say “NO”.  It is because Miss Mahinay chooses me and she has faith on me. But if I only have the courage to say no, I will. So she called me and said put my name on the paper and then….it’s done! I’m joining the competition.

                It’s January 20, Thursday, at AVR 3pm. This is where the competition was held. I was being grouped with other levels. I met Kim, first year nursing student, Jessa, 2^nd year, and ate Ana (topnotcher ng TCAP pala!!!!), 4^th year nursing student. We all talked that no matter what happens we will accept it and it’s just a game. We sat near the professors. Mr. Ace asked me what your favorite subject is, I said “ANYTHING BASTA KAYA NG UTAK KO!”

                The entire game ends well. We bagged the championship. We WONJ!!!. At first we we’re all nervous. My group mates said they were just picked on that day because they lack on contestants. And one more thing, after seeing the 3^rd year participants, I was shocked! All of them are regulars and they had already their MS before and now PSYCHIATRIC NURSING. So I said to myself, Oh God! Help me with this.

                Then the quiz bee started. On the easy round we got 8 points. On the moderate round we have 10 points. And on the Final round we got 18 points. We didn’t expect it to be on the final round. In the end we we’re declared as the champion after a long tie breaker round. I saw on Miss Mahinay’s face the disappointment after I answered CARDIAC OUTPUT instead of AFTERLOAD.! I heard she said, Naku, Mr. Asuncion, katuturo ko lng niyan! I smiled after I saw it. Yeah, its afterload. But it did not cross into my mind at all. I don’t know why I answered cardiac output. Another exiciting part of the game was when they asked what is the term for a person with no extremities. my groupmates don’t know what it is. I grabbed the chalk and board and write ANASTACIA. Holy shit! Who’s ANastacia???? So I erased my first answer and think again. I was asking them think of a girl’s name and it started with an “A”. After a few seconds of thinking I wrote AMELIA. Got it! Its Amelia and cant never be Anastacia. Thank God, I wrote it in just a nick of time.

                In the final round Mr. Ace announced the 3 groups with highest scores. We we’re on the second place. Then after a final question, our group and group 4 tied on first place with a score of 33. We went on the tie breaker round. It’s Ma’am Mahinay who asked the questions. And these are the questions:

1.       Give two condition where in abdominal palpation is contraindicated?

2.       What is the color of IV cannula G24?

3.       G26?

4.       Color of needle in Spinal Anesthesia?

5.       Birthday of Florence Nigthtingale?

6.       New classification of drug for malaria?

7.       First school who offers nursing?

        The first six question was answered wrong or it’s because that we answered both correct. On the last question, I asked the first year student, do you know the answer? It’s because she is having her TFN. She replied no. even the two girls, I asked them the same question, and they answered no. so I guess it’s on my hand. If I answer it correctly there will be no another tie breaker question. I said to them. Its either UST or ILO-ILO MISSION. I wrote UST. While the other group answered Ilo-ilo mission. I said to them no matter what happens, we will accept it, win or lose! The last question brings me back to my first year here on Fatima. It’s Mrs. Mendoza who handled me on TFN. Good thing I remembered her lectures on the history of nursing here in the Philippines.

        UST is the correct answer. It’s the question that made us won. We all jumped with joy, my group mates slap to me the board because of happiness. I really have fun that day. It’s my first time to join in a competition like this and we won. I learned a lot from this game, my groupmates. I developed sense of independence and self-esteem. JJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJ

EXAM RESULTS

              Before we go on to our Christmas vacation, we first had our preliminary examination. The can say that year 2010 has been very good to me. After spending my Christmas and New Year vacation at Tarlac here comes the new chapter of my life as a nursing student. I really prayed for the results of my exams. All I wish is to pass the entire exam. It’s a blessing to be the topnotcher of MS and OR. I really did my best on the exams particularly in OR. And I know what the real story behind the MS exam is. I cannot say the details but I think all of us know it. I’m really happy that I passed all the exams, even in SOC4, PHI2 and NI I’m lucky enough to get a high score not as the topnotcher but I passed with high scores.

                After knowing the results on MS and OR really have to review and understand more the concepts. Because there’s a lot of pressure I feel this time. I know it’s hard to accept if I fail the next examination. People are expecting more from me. I wish with all my knowledge and hard works I will still be the “topnotcher”. But if not, I will accept it with all my heartL.

HELLO 2011, GOODBYE 2010

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Year 2010 has been very good to me. I'm still alive! I survived many challenges and tasks. Now I'm looking forward for a new beginning, new experiences, new learnings and a whole lot of new things. After the year 2010, I promised to myself to be more careful and wise when it comes to decision making. there are times that i don't think what i do and say. And this year 2011, I will be welcoming the positivity and remove all the bad memories. I will study harder and pass all my examinations. I'll read in advance and focus more on studying. that's my new year's resolution that i must accomplish. So guys, wish me all the best and thank you friends who came along my way. Don't worry I won't reject you. hahahaha

Christmas Day:

We watch “ANG TANGING INA MO, LAST NA ‘TOH” by Ai-Ai delas Alas. The movie is great; it’s full of comedy and drama. Since this is the last installment of the movie, I and my family watched it. We had a great night. This coming Wednesday, we will be watching Dalaw. 

2nd day:

We visited the tomb of my Aunt then we prayed for her. We also attended the holy mass by night. After the mass, we opened our gifts to one another. I received a violet shirt form my Aunt. We sang and dance the whole night. I also received 500 pesos in cash. My mother cooked soup and nilagang baboy for us. After the party we went to bed. 

3rd day:

Three days before Christmas I watched movies the whole day. I watched the mirrors, shutter, grown-ups, Blair witch project, drag me to hell and deep impact. I watched them all with my family. I’m so lucky I have them. After watching the movies I played with my cousins. I saw his bike and I used it. I missed biking so much. I felt I was in Paris (hahahaha). It’s very relaxing and fun to do. Months ago I don’t know how to ride a bike. But last summer I told to myself, I should learn how to ride a bike. And in just no time, I can ride then a bike. I started using the small one then this time I used the bigger one that suits for me.  This is such a fulfillment for me because another task that I have done. Next summer I must learn how to swim. 

4th day:

I had a strange night. I, my sister and aunt slept on one room. We we’re having fun, Telling scary stories and ghost experiences. After a couple of minutes I stood up and grab the white blanket. I covered my body and I stand on the window. They were laughing. Then I sang…”may inuwi si nanay sa bahay, may inuwi si nanay sa bahay, may inuwi si nanay sa bahay…” and my way. It’s 10 pm, we went to bed and sleep. Then boom….something fell. We all stood up and went down the stairs. Ohhh, the picture frame fell. I cannot recognize whose picture is that. But when I look up that I realize that picture was the picture of my dead aunt. We all ran and upstairs, we laugh and laugh.

5th day: BUSY VACATION WEEKS

I started writing all my notes in MS and OR. I brought my book with me. Moreover, I started watching the movies that was given to us. We have 4 movies to watch and make reviews out of it. I also did all my essays in my Phi2 and make many blog topics so that I will just post and post every week. And I don’t even need to think more after this vacation. This is how my vacation will going to be. It’s like I’m still in the school doing my homework and all the school stuffs. Hayyyzzzz. I need a rest (rest in peace????BIG NO!!!). I have to pamper myself and prepare for the coming 2011…MERRY WRITINGS AND HAPPY NEW MOVIES FOR 2011.

6th day: I’M COMING BACK HOME.

I’m on my way to the terminal. May god bless my trip and no accident may happen. I will be spending my Christmas vacation, Christmas day and New Year at my grandmother house here in Tarlac. Every year I and my family celebrate this special day here in Tarlac. We spend the days with lots of happiness, foods and fireworks. It’s a bonding for us. And a day that we will cherished for the rest of our lives. It’s truly that Christmas is one of the happiest occasions here in our country and we Filipinos are the happiest person on earth. 

8th day: SHOP ‘TIL YOU DROP.

I had fun this day. I and my classmates went to mall to pamper ourselves with the exams. We admit we find a hard time in reviewing and taking each exam. And this is the only way to relax and also our last bonding for this year before Christmas and New Year passed by.

After going to mall, we planned to go in Marikina Tiangge Park. We we’re shopping for a bag. A bag that cost Php 50.00 (hahaha, sosyal!!! and mahal???). Unluckily, we didn’t find what we want. We went home with nothing. But we we’re happy of what happened to us. Lia bought her sister with us and we had fun the whole day. We ride a horse (kalesa) and take pictures on the ginger bread house built by Marikina government. After the enjoyment, my body is aching. My feet are swollen and tired.

I really enjoyed my day and thanks to my friends. Tomorrow I will go to Marikina again (alone) to find that bag; I’m so obsessed with that beautiful, cheap and affordable bag. Though it cost only 50.00, it looks expensive, unique and original. Tomorrow is another day and I’m ready to face the challenges and adventures ahead of me. 9th day: REVIEW MODE.

    

The whole day, I reviewed my lectures and notes for MS. I read the books and memorize necessary values. I understand each and every concept taught to us by Ms. Mahinay. That is how I spend my day before the Christmas. And exam week is about to end this Friday. I and my friends we’re planning to have a night out (Sa Sta. Lucia lang at Marikina Park, poor kami eh!). 

WILLING-WILLIE SHOW

         November 29 is declared as holiday. Some take advantage with this day to have a rest and bond with their family or friends. But I and some of my family members went to a beautiful show. We went to “Willing-Willie” to see Willie himself, the very beautiful Shalani Soledad and the sexy dancers of the show. I was really amazed of what I saw. Shalani is so beautiful. You will really admire her because of her simplicity. Be a fan of Willie because his very generous to unfortunate people. The dancers because of their sexy moves, sexy bodies (sobrang puputi nila!!! Ka-ingit sa sobrang kinis!!!!) and beautiful faces.

            Before the show proper we met the mother of Willie. She is very kind and down to earth. As if she doesn’t have all the money and the riches in her life. She stays humble and normal people unlike other persons don’t do.

            I enjoyed the hours I stayed in the studio of the show. It’s worth it and it’s a fun show. You will forget for a while all your problems if you will just watch it. If you’re looking for a show like this, Willing-Willie is the one.

            I can still remember the dance steps taught to us by Owen. During the practice, I’m shy to dance but when the program starts I started dancing also. Some say, “Pag ikaw pa yung hindi sumayaw, ikaw pa yung mahihiya, kasi lahat todo sayaw at enjoy!”. We finished the show and we we’re there ‘til 12 midnight. We had pictures with the dancers. They’re so cool.

            I also saw DJ Mo, he’s cute and small. I wish I can go back again in the show not as a VIP or reserved audience but as an ordinary audience wherein I can join in the contest.

            This is me and “Pak”. I had a picture of her. She’s more beautiful in person. The next photo is April “Congrats”, she’s not FAT!. She’s sexy, and beautiful. One of my friends told me they saw me in the show laughing and laughing. It’s primarily the theme of the show, “make you happy”. The entire show, from start to end you will just laugh with the jokes and the contestant’s story. Every commercial, Inday Garutay is there to sing and throw away jokes. She’s so GAY! Her make-up is so heavy, the shoes and dress is very remarkable. She really looks like a real girl (wag mo lang tignan yung MUKHA at PAGSALITAIN)/. She’s very natural; she will tell what she wants. Even Owen, he says bad words during the practice.

            Sad to say, I don’t have a picture of Shalani and I. we didn’t went to their dressing rooms because its past 12 midnight and they still need to take a rest.

            But even though, I had a chance to talk to Willie for a while (saglit lng talaga. Mga 2 seconds.!hahaha). He asked me something. And I was shocked; I did not expect that to happen. I was just there to watch the show and have fun. And I did not fail from what I expect.
